<h3> Getting to the Gunks from Newburg </h3>

Here's my official approach route that avoids New Paltz:
<ul>
<li> Take Exit 6 from I-84, turn right (north).
<li> At the first light, go right on Rock Cut road (County #23)
<li> Past a light and then to the next traffic light: route 300.  Turn left.
(You can also follow 300 from Newburg but this is a little slower). 
<li> Either turn right on route 208 or (better) turn right at the
flashing yellow light with the `airport' sign.  (County #21)
This ends at route 208 where you turn right.
<li> Turn left at the light (Route 44).
</ul>
This takes about 30 minutes from Newburg and does not have the long
traffic jams that you get in the fall coming through New Paltz.
